Approach to an Ecological Foundation of Democracy

Abstract

In this paper I tackle an ecological approach to the bases of democracy. We understand democracy as a political system based on cooperation and equality. We analyze the robust evolutionary basis of conduct cooperative and the relationship between cooperation and democratic institutions. Finally, I argue that democracy as a political system more specifically human is the optimum system to direct the management of the ecological crisis.
