A Feminist View of the Corporation: Contributions of Care Ethics to Business Ethics
Abstract
Care ethics offers a new perspective in the study of business ethics. That is, a perspective based on values "“ such as care, to assume responsibilities towards the others, or the attention to particularity "“ which are not appreciated by more traditional proposals. After an introduction to care ethics, its main contributions to the reflection about corporations are presented in this paper. Its role on the redefinition of such organizations, and the way in which it makes explicit the normative core of business ethics are the two outstanding points. How care ethics covers what theistic ethics considers the humanizing factor is illustrated in the last part with a particular reference to Antonio Argandoña"™s work.Downloads
