Abstract

The aim of this article is to present the current situation of the information system. Journalism is undergoing a series of changes which relate mainly to the business field. A crisis caused by the market saturation, by the alliance of the information system with the economic and political power, and by for technology development is also perceived. This scenario is transforming the traditional model and the concept of "fourth power". This situation requires new ethical challenges and a debate about the role of journalism in the society. From our experience, we will try to find a set of symptoms that can form the basis to raise moral demands. Following the model of applied ethics we will try to verify some characteristics that this so important activity facing what is called a creation of opinion. This work focuses on the called "opinion journalism" and its role within this new media reality.
