Feminist Bioethics and Conscientious Objection to Abortion: The Struggle Continues
Abstract
Conscientious objection to abortion by health care professionals sometimes involves violations of sexual and reproductive rights of women. This evidence justifies the relevance of an analysis of the phenomenon from a feminist perspective, in order to take into account the abuses committed, the underlying moral discourses, power relationships established among professionals, institutions and users. This analysis allows a thorough identification of problems and provides with the required arguments to strengthen the struggle for the respect of women"™s decision-making capacity.Downloads
