Environmental Problems: Ecological Dispossession and Devaluation of Life in Vandana Shiva"™s Thought
Abstract
The following essay aims at a comprehensive approach to current environmental problems, considering the proposal as a primary source of the Indian writer and environmentalist Vandana Shiva. So, she writes from her experience and focused on the events in their country of origin, its proposal reaches the philosophical and epistemologists that could be at the root of the ecological crisis, those that transcend territorial boundaries and intellectuals for explanation and possible answers to the problem. The text addresses the current state of things following the analysis and reflection of the author, which reveals the connection of the various factors that promote this crisis, and the mechanisms put in place, principally through dissemination and entrenchment of the idea of "‹"‹an ecological dispossession, also that of a devaluation of life, to be linked to the possibility of a paradigm shift.Downloads
