Abstract
Qualitative study from gender and Human Rights perspective in which prostitution and trafficking for sexual exploitation are analyzed from its structural causes. From the narratives of women who were interviewed, it is important to highlight common results such as what it is called the violence continuum along their biographies. Violence is present in both their origin and their trip and it is materialized in their bodies and in the streets as a space of tension between the different actors who take part of the phenomenon; also their perspective about clients; and finally, their expectations out of prostitution that are between hope and resignation. It is recommended that gender and Human Rights perspective are completely taken into account in all areas of the persecution of the crime of human trafficking. Also it is recommended an improvement of law and victims assistance.Downloads
