Abstract

If the objection is related to that which interprets, ponders and makes a judgment in line with the values and personal identity, actions and the consequences for the subject himself -and for others who do not share their moral expressions-, then you might think that in various forms of mental health care the moral conscience is at stake; for example in the treatment of suicide, specifically in the case of suicide attempt. This manuscript raises the question whether a physician who has an internal conflict in treating patients who attempted suicide may exercise conscientious objection or science objection.
