Surrogate Pregnancy, a Question of Rights?
Abstract
The surrogacy is a very controversial bioethics matter at the moment due to its disruptive character related to the way it has been comprehended and regulated the relation mother-child in the course of the history, considering the legal possibility of dissociating the gestation of maternity. After analyzing the ethic points linked to the replacement gestation we can conclude that we have heavy arguments to recommend keeping the link between gestation and maternity. According to the Spanish Bioethics Committee report we can conclude: a change in the current legislation must be orientated in reaching the nullity of contracts which are made in foreign countries taking steps to forbid the transnational surrogacy contracts.Downloads
