University Autonomy and its Projection in the Elaboration of Ethical and Good Practices Codes Related to Research Activity

Abstract

This paper tries to analyse some of the realms where Good Practices Codes are defining rules about how to do research in Spain, such us guidelines for the resolution of conflicts about the authorship of collective works, some incentives to the on-line publication of research results, rules promoting disclosure about the funding received by research groups and, even in some cases, new personnel hiring policies in some Spanish public universities.
