Abstract

In this article we present a community of practices called the TreS (Taula per a la Reflexió en Educació Social), a meeting place between professionals, students and university professors linked to the field of social education. The TreS meetings are held once a month at the Bellvitge Cultural Center in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. After fifteen years, the TreS has established itself as a self-training space on the fringes of the university and the official lifelong learning agencies, responding to the uneasiness felt by its members when it comes to holding a work exposed to the first line of abandonment and social vulnerability. As a community of practice, the TreS offers, above all, a time in which the participants share our experiences with the aim of articulating new ways of thinking about the common problems that question us. Our commitment to the profession marks the contours of a complicity that makes pedagogical resistance a transforming material force.
