Starting from the works of Denis Diderot and Hervé Guibert, it is intended in this written to highlight certain lines of approach to the relationships between rationality, emotivity and ethics. There is a reflection on various aspects related to the experience of disability and it is intended to show that taking into consideration the emotional experiences faced by people suffering from such limitations is crucially important for dealing with in the most effective way to the problems that derive from them. Despite taking as a starting point two brilliant literary approaches, all this comes to converge in a perspective that, following Lisa Feldman, we can call Affective Realism.
