Abstract

The heritage study of the province of Jaén has led us to assess it from the administrative, tourist and social point of view, shaping an atypical needs map where the territorial needs of this city are shown.

This study focuses on the social aspect and how, based on a patrimonial survey, the response obtained by the communities has laid the foundations for a social and participatory cartography which will allow us to go a step beyond the strict heritage use in the economic and tourist sphere, providing a useful and significant tool for society in the decision-making process of its community for reflection, organization and action on a territory, especially in rural and unpopulated areas of Jaén.
